Day of the Lord

Verses used follow the observations

It comes:

               On the proud and lofty.

               As a destruction

Cruel, with wrath, anger and desolation

               To destroy sinners

As a day of vengeance against His adversaries

               As a day of battle

It is near; at hand.

It will be a cloudy day.

I is the time of the heathen.

It is great and terrible and dreadful and notable.

It will be preceded by a dark sun, bloody moon, and the coming of Elijah.

It will affect multitudes.

It is a day of darkness.

It will cause mighty men to cry.

It will come as a thief in the night.

It is a time in which the heavens will pass away with great noise, elements will melt with fervent heat, the earth and the works therein will be burned up.

There will be a shaking of the heavens and earth.
